Some Say that Nojo lives in the forest,
others Say that the forest is Nojo...

HOW THE SHORTFILM CAME ABOUT

“Eu Amo SAC” (The name means “I love the comunity) is a children and young people social inclusive project in Santo António dos Cavaleiros - Loures. It exists since 2010 and aims to contribute to the prevention and reduction of risk behaviors.

As part of our youth activities, we developed a 3-day, 3-night movie bootcamp that resulted in the short film "Nojo."

This bootcamp goal was to provide young practical film techniques.

cast

Joel, Dioclécio & João

Joel is revolutionary and righteous by nature, while Dioclecio is mysterious and does things quietly… What about John? John is an artist and the most abstracted.

Together they accepted a great challenge, memorize lines, embody the characters and repeat, repeat, repeat... There were many hours of recordings, sleepless nights and an effort pushed to the limit, especially for Joel who didn't have a stuntman. All the falls, races and most unusual situations were made by himself.

An enriching experience and the proof that we can always surpass ourselves, it only takes action and not giving up.

The path is made by walking.

WHO WE ARE

Eu amo sac

Eu Amo Sac develops its work among young people from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds, mostly descendants of migrants. We focus our intervention on the premise that each young person is a unique person, with a persoal story, with gifts and talents discovered or to be discovered and with so much potential that needs to be valued and awakened. That is what we exist for, to stimulate self-love, love to each other and to the community through the processes of mentoring and the activities we develop.

We are aware to what surrounds us and we absorb everything we see and hear from the young people with whom we work. We are interested in creating and invigorating products and activities that meet their reality and needs. For this reason in most of the processes the young people are integrated in our design thinking moments in order to develop their creative thinking and critical spirit.

We believe that together we go further, although sometimes we arrive more slowly. We value teamwork and the contribution of everyone to the final result.
